Approaching the end of the semester may seem like fun and games, but for some it can be a stressful few weeks.

Coming towards the end of a school year may mean different things for people. Some may appreaciate the memories they had, some may hate the experiences they faced, or maybe even feel numb about the whole thing. Whatever it is, take some time to reflect on how you can deal with end of the year burnout.

Burnout can come from various reasons and I know we’ve talked a little bit about this in previous articles, but I mean that. Think about it, you could be socially, academically, mentally, and physically burnt out after about 9 months of ongoing schoolwork.

I’ve learned in the last four years how important it is to practice self awareness when facing these challenges.

When coming towards the end of the semester try to focus on the following tips based off professional and personal advice!

Ready to feel successful at the end of your semester?

  • Go to all your classes, c’mon you’re almost there.

  • Study for finals! You’ll be so happy when you see that good grade!

  • Take sometime alone.

  • Practice gratitude, think positively.

  • Spend time with people who make you happy! Smiles are contagious ;)

  • Remember your professors are here to help you!

  • Try your BEST!

  • Set daily tasks and goals to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • Remeber to focus on the present. You can’t control the future or past.

  • You got this. I promise.

  • Always eat before u go out (easiest and fastest dinner= buttered noodles)

  • Always ride home with someone you feel safe with. No ubering alone. Ever.

  • Watch your drinks! Don’t leave them unattended and uncovered.

  • Don’t accept drinks from creepy strangers. They don’t have ur best interest. Promise.

  • Stranger danger is real. Stay safe.

  • Beer for before liquor you’ll never be sicker. Liquor before beer you’re in the clear!

  • Dance the night away. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

  • Don’t wear white. People and bars are dirty.

  • Pregame, but not too hard.

  • Have fun doing what YOU want!
