Getting closer to graduation

Wow, what a scary feeling to know my college years are coming closer and closer to an end. These last three and a half years have been the most monumental years of my life, and if you are graduating this year too, you might be experiencing the same feeling.

Although I fear living outside the college bubble, I am proud of how far I have come to say that I am graduating college. I always refer to my school as a bubble because people are so obsessed with what’s going on just around us, sometimes the outside world doesn’t even exist. Whether you like your college or not, you probably know how scary it feels to think about being out in the “real world”. What does that mean for us though? The “real world”, because life has been feeling pretty real to me. Wouldn’t you agree?

Each semester has been a different experience. Some stand out to me more than others, especially the beginning years of college when I didn't know what was going on with my life; I just knew I was having fun. I felt like I didn’t have a care in the world. To be honest, my sophomore year was so fun, school wasn’t even on my radar. We’ve all been there. To reassure the readers, I have pulled it together since then and have more important things on my mind… ya know, sometimes.

Ok, post-grad life. What is everyone doing? I am unemployed and broke so I’m headed to stay with my parents again. :( I feel bad saying that, but how is someone supposed to go back to living with their parents after rooming with all their friends? Crazy.  In all reality though, It’s time to get a job and pull out my piggy bank to save for an apartment. Do people have jobs ready to go right out of college? I’m close to a month away from graduating and do not have a plan yet. Hopefully, I'm not alone on that, but congrats to you if not in all seriousness.

Graduation may mean different things to people. It may have come easy for some, while others may have hit a few bumps in the road along the way. To be super real though, everyone goes through something at one time or another.  Either way, you should give yourself the credit you deserve because you made it! So, congrats on graduating, whenever you do. Hopefully, everyone graduating this year can finally enjoy a real ceremony. #iykyk
